Fall Festivals: Ticonderoga Farms, Chantilly, VA

Ticonderoga Farms is located in Chantilly on the western side of Fairfax County. Their annual Pumpkin Festival began on September 17th and runs until November 10th.

This years events highlight hayrides, animal petting, log forts, a tee pee village, panda bamboo puzzle, spooky barn, slides, tetherball, and more (check their website for full details).

We'll probably check this one out when the rain lets up. The farm is open daily from 9 am to 6 pm and looks like a great time for the kids. Admission is $7.95 a person on weekdays and $11.95 on weekends. Kids under age 2 are free!

For more seasonal Fall and Halloween things to do, I invite you to visit my other entries that list and/or review the many haunted events, ghost tours, and corn mazes in the region. Also, Pumpkinville in Leesburg is another family fun day.

Great stuff happening in Northern Virginia in fall 2009!

Wow! You were right - The Ticonderoga swinging bridge was the most awesome thing I have seen. Nicest people and they grow their own pumpkins. Open for all sorts of other things with zillions of cut your own christmas trees. THANK YOU - we have found a real family place.

  2. Thanks for your posting Lori and for stopping in :). With all the rain we had and a weekend trip out of town, unfortunately we missed getting to Ticonderoga this year, but will put on the list for a visit next season. I wonder if they offer anything in the spring...

  3. Ticonderoga would like to thank you for listing us in your Fall Festivals article - we also would like to take this time to let you know Christmas is the next one right around the corner - and information is readily available on our website of all the next fun things during the holiday.

  4. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a note. That's great to know you have a Christmas event too (Many other farms seem to shut down for the season, great to know you're open). Will definitely stop by your website, thanks!
